NAIWA NM Chapter interviewed on KRQE/KASA

On May 18, 2018, NAIWA New Mexico Chapter members were interviewed on the KQRE/KASA morning show. Former NAIWA NM Chapter President Marita Roth and Publicity Chairwoman Georgia Pedro both were invited to the stuido.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- The North American Indian Women's Association gears up for a special meeting on Saturday, May 12.
The North American Indian Women’s Association has been in existence for 48 years. Founded in 1970, chapters throughout the US promote cultural awareness, Native American heritage and more.
On Saturday, May 12 from 9:45 am to noon, there will be a special meeting on "Home, Family Life and Community". The event is open to all and will be held at Shepherd of the Valley, 1801 Montano Blvd NW.
The guest speaker will be Debra Haaland, candidate for New Mexico Congress.
Please note the meeting was changed from May 19 to May 12. The New Mexico Chapter meets every other month.
Their preamble is as follows: “We North American Indian women, with quiet dignity and pride, inherent with our heritage, unite with the determination to promote, through unity of purpose, the general well-being of Indian people."
